Twitter was set ablaze today with rumors of ADELE having throat cancer, but a source has yet to be cited to prove that it's true.

It is confirmed, however, that ADELE will be having surgery on her throat in the coming days. After suffering a vocal hemorrhage and being forced to cancel concerts left and right, she will now undergo throat surgery on her vocal cords. Her remaining 2011 tour dates have also been cancelled, though fans can rest easy knowing she is expected to make a full recovery.

Adele’s latest album “21” has bee a fixture on music charts this year and earned her loads of accolades and award nominations. She's been atop the Billboard 200 for 13 weeks! Her album, "21" is the best-selling album of the year with over 4 million copies sold in the US.

Get well soon, ADELE!

I'm a pretty big scary movie buff. I still have plenty to see (like Hitchcock's Pyscho), but here's a list of my top 10 favorites.

What's your favorite scary movie?

The Shining

The Ring

For one of my college classes, we are required to enter a design competition called the PAVE the Way 3D Design Challenge. The challenge is:

"Design, develop, and construct a branded store fixture, that is, when utilized, no larger than a 36-inch x 36-inch square footprint and 84 inches high. This fixture is to provide a makeover station for a specific existing brand of cosmetics. The fixture should communicate the chosen brand. You may choose any brand of cosmetics found in department stores or branded retail stores. Your design solution should be concise and constructed with care and professionalism. The fixture must be able to morph from a compact, protected unit when stored into a fully functional makeover station when in use. We encourage you to design a creative solution for the functionality when utilized and the structure when stored."

I chose MAC Cosmetics.

This is what the fixture will look like completely closed a locked.

The below image shoes all doors open, and how the makeup will be displayed. The top part of the fixture is for MAC's Viva Glam campaign, or any other featured MAC product.

This shows the back, still completely open.

Below is the back with doors closed, how it would be displayed in a store or shopping mall.

And finally, this is the left/front view, the same way it will be displayed while in use by a makeup artist.

What do you think?

I hope I win or at least get an honorable mention!

Customizable Vibrations

You can create your own vibrations with iOS 5! Go to Settings >> General >> Accesibilty and turn on Custom Vibrations.

Then go to Settings >> Sounds and scroll down to the bottom where you'll see Vibration Patterns.

Apple is releasing iOS 5 TODAY! I'm waiting patiently, but starting to get antsy.

Here are the features I'm most excited about:
Notification Center
Everyone gets all kinds of notifications on their iPhone: emails, texts, friend requests, tweets, and more. With Notification Center, you can keep track of them all in one convenient location. Just swipe down from the top of any screen to enter Notification Center. Choose which notifications you want to see. New notifications appear briefly at the top of your screen, without interrupting what you’re doing, and the lock screen displays notifications so you can activate the appropriate app with just the swipe of a finger.

Reminders
Reminders lets you organize your life in to-do lists -- complete with due dates and locations. Say you need to remember to wrap a friend's birthday present when you get home. Reminders can be location based, so you’ll get an alert as soon as you pull into your driveway. (How cool is that?!)
Camera
With iOS 5 you can open the Camera app right from the Lock screen. Use grid lines, pinch-to-zoom gestures, and single-tap focus and exposure locks to compose a picture as you go. Then press the volume-up button to snap your photo in the nick of time. (I've been waiting for this feature for so long. It can be so frustrating trying to take a picture and you don't hit the area of the screen directly where the camera "button" is.)
Photo Crop & Enhance
Now you can turn your snapshots into frame-worthy photos in just a few taps. Crop, rotate, enhance, and even remove red-eye without leaving the Photos app. Also organize your photos in albums -- right on your device.
Wi-Fi Sync
Wirelessly sync your iOS device to your Mac or PC over a shared Wi-Fi connection. Every time you connect your iOS device to a power source (say, overnight for charging), it automatically syncs and backs up any new content to iTunes. (This is probably going to be my favorite feature!)
iCloud
iCloud automatically stores your content so it’s always available to your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC. It gives you access to your music, apps, latest photos, and more from whichever device you happen to be using. And it keeps your email, contacts, and calendars up to date across all your devices. No syncing required. No management required. iCloud does it all for you. It's like your own personal cloud in the sky where you can store everything you want. (Did I mention it's free with iOS 5?!)

So sad to hear that Steve Jobs passed away.

Jobs cofounded Apple is 1977, and has gone on to change the world with technology. His legacy will live on through his creations.

He suffered from a rare form of pancreatic cancer, and was 56.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life,” Jobs said. “Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

From the personal computer, to iTunes, to the iPhone, iPad, iPod, and more. No person has impacted modern culture and technology more than Steve Jobs.

Contrary to popular belief, Apple didn't unveil their iPhone 5 today like people thought they would.

Instead, they revealed the iPhone 4S.

It's got some amazing new features such reminders, notifications center, a vocal recognition assistant called Siri, a 1080p HD video camera, and iCloud!

Check out the rest of the features.

Just like the 3GS, I think I'm going to skip this generation of iPhone. To me, it's not worth the $200 until it's a major update. I'm going to stick it out until iPhone 5.

Will you be upgrading?

Madonna will likely be the halftime performer at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis on February 5, 2012. While nothing has been announced by either the Material Girl’s camp or the National Football League, a Madonna source has revealed that “it looks promising.” At least twice in the past, the pop icon has been close to finalizing the Super Bowl halftime spot before the deal came apart

Who's excited?! I'm excited! Only because the Super Bowl is coming to Indianapolis. Ha ha.

This proves how dynamic Lady Gaga truly is.
