I painted this piece a couple months ago and as soon as I finished it, the swirls of green and gold reminded me of a wicked wizard casting a spell across an ominous, dark sky! I almost titled it after a specific wizard, but he shall not be named 😉

Anyone else re-reading Harry Potter at the moment? I'll never get tired of those books!

Orange, orange, orange! I just recently ordered some new colors from Ranger and was super excited to try this terracotta color! the gold metallic combined with rich shades of orange makes this piece look like it's on fire 🔥 It reminded me of solar flares, hence the name I gave it 😊☀️

I painted this piece last July. I was so proud of it that I didn't think I could do any better. I clipped the paper up to dry and let it hang for 5 months. I didn't intend for the break to last so long, but I was tired and needed to take some time to myself to recharge and focus on other aspects of life. Also, I was afraid I'd ruin it during the varnishing/mounting process. Well, here it is completed and I wish I hadn't waited so long. Better late than never, I guess!
