Today, I started helping my parents replace some rotten wood on the barn.


My dad started to replace one piece, but I had to take it off and flip it over and place some supports underneath.


This is the result. I cut and attached the smaller piece on the left, also.

And now.

The next step is to add some hardware cloth underneath to keep the rabbits from burrowing underneath the barn.

My parents have had the same ceiling fan in their bedroom for over the past 20 years, and it recently stopped working. I decided to replace it.


Silly me forgot to take a picture before I took the old fan down, so here is my "before" picture.


It took some coordination to get this motor up 12 feet high.


Then came the blades.


Add the light fixture, and ta-da!
