We slept in too late for breakfast this morning, so we stopped for lunch in Valley City at a little Mom & Pop's restaurant named Roby's. Their taco salad was so much better than Taco Bell's. Ha ha.
There was a little department store next to Roby's named Pamida, so we stopped there to take a look around. It was kind of like a wannabe walmart. I bought a DVD, Adventurland, and watched it on my laptop in the car.
My Dad's cousin, Glenn, was in the hospital in Bismarck, so we made a stop there to visit him. We bought him flowers and "Get Well Soon" balloon. I'm glad we did, too. No one else had brought him anything. He had what seemed to be a stroke on Thursday. The doctors have been doing tests on him to find out what exactly is wrong.
Going to the hospital was sort of surreal. The last time I was at this exact same hospital was when my grandma passed away back in 2003. My sister had E. Coli the time before that in 2001.
It's so pretty out here. I love being in the middle of nowhere with views that go on for miles.
We finally made it to Watford City today.
The trip was totally worth it, now that we're here. This is going to be fun! Our little house is so cute, and it's on the lake!
