The continental breakfast at our hotel didn't serve bacon, so I can't say I ate bacon in Macon, Georgia. :( Ha ha. We left the hotel at 7:00 (on time for once), and got to Ft. Lauderdale around 5:30 We almost ran out of gas on the Florida Turnpike, though. Our gas light turned on about 30 miles from the nearest gas station. That wasn't a fun feeling, but miraculously we made it to a gas station just in time. Plus, the gas station had a Subway right next to it. We had been looking for a Subway for the longest time before the gas issue. That was a nice coincidence.
Our hotel is simply amazing. I feel like I'm in paradise. Everything just got redone, so it's all brand new. Our hotel is on the beach, and our room's balcony looks over the ocean. I can't wait to wake up next to the ocean every morning. It's going to be so nice to be able to just walk to the beach, instead of driving 10 minutes everyday like last year. I'm so excited!
We unloaded all our luggage, then went to the nearest Publix to pick up some groceries. Looking grubby and exhausted, we decided it would be best to just make a simple dinner and relax with some wine instead of going out to eat.
I just took the bath of my dreams in a jacuzzi tub. I had never gotten the chance to before, and now I'm going to want to every night this week.
As I'm writing this, I just found out that my sister clogged the toilet. That's going to be an interesting call to the front desk. Anyways, it's almost bed time. I can't wait to get my tan on tomorrow!
