Femme Fatale: Reviewed

Britney Spears' seventh studio album dropped today. She's definitely moved in a different direction with her sound.  It's her first album, since becoming a superstar, on which she didn't claim a single writing credit. If Britney possesses any vocal talent, she fails to display it on this album. It's severely auto-tuned and swamped by synthetic editing. Don't get me wrong--the songs are catchy, but I wish her voice didn't have to be so edited/auto-tuned. It seems very Ke$ha-esque. In fact, the first time I heard "Till the World Ends," I thought to myself, "This is a Ke$ha rip-off." It turns out that Ke$ha wrote that song. Anyways, it's a great album that I'll be listening to for a while, but there's nothing ground-breaking about it.

My favorite tracks are:
  • Till the World Ends
  • Inside Out
  • I Wanna Go
  • Seal It With a Kiss
  • Hold It Against Me
  • Up n' Down
