The time change last night kind of threw off our schedule today. We missed the contintental breakfast by half an hour, so I just skipped directly to lunch. Mom, Dad, and Amy went to the craft show again, and I stayed at the hotel. I laid out on the beach for about an hour, got too hot, then came back inside to relax a little before going out again.
I waited for everyone to get home from the festival, then Amy and I went down to the beach to enjoy the sunshine. We actually got in the ocean today, but didn't go past knee-deep. Ha ha. It was still a little too cold. The pool was a warmer option, but still too cold for Amy's taste. I jumped right in, so the shock of the "cold" water came and went quickly.
After swimming in the pool for a little while, Amy went back inside, afraid to burn in the sun again. I stayed on the beach by myself for a little while and got a nice tan. I noticed once I came back inside that I missed a spot on my back. I have a funky red shape in the middle of it.
Everyone took a nap, but me. I watched tv and played around on facebook a little bit. I woke everyone up around 6, then we went to La Bamba. It's the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. Our waitress, Louiza, was from Brazil and she told us about her country a little bit. It was really nice to get to know her. Amy absentmindedly left her sunglasses on the table when we left, and Louiza was kind enough to run them out to our car as we were leaving.
After dinner, Amy and I walked around the shops by the pier while Mom and Dad went to a nearby bowling alley (they're obsessed). I bought a burlap bag to put shells in, and we walked along the shoreline with a flashlight. As soon as we got back to the hotel, our parents called and said they were at the pier listening to a live band. Amy and I walked back down to the pier, and by the time we got down there, our parents had already driven back to the hotel. It was a nice walk either way.
I'm pretty sure I'll be taking advantage of this jacuzzi tub every night. :)
