We woke up at 8:30 and went to breakfast, then walked on the beach a little bit. Amy took a nap while Mom and I went down to the beach. Amy and Dad eventually came down, and Amy and I ventured into the ocean a little bit. We saw a huge dark spot coming our way and ran to the shore. Turns out it was just a big blob of kelp floating along. Ha ha. After that scare, we got in the pool and took some underwater pictures. After using about half the film, we noticed that our "waterproof" camera wasn't so waterproof after all. Hopefully the pictures turn out when we get them developed.
We stayed on the beach until about 4 o'clock, freshened up, then went to a restaurant called The Rustic Inn. I got grilled chicken and a Blue Hawaiin (I'll let you guess which picture that is). I tried calamari and fried alligator. Both of them actually tasted good. It was just weird knowing what I was eating.
On our way back from dinner, I felt crowded in the back seat from all the pillows that were still in there from the trip, so I threw them in the back, and guess what I found. MY CAMERA! I can't believe it was there the whole time. At least I didn't find it the day before we left. Optimism is key.
Amy and my Mom are obsessed with The Bachelor, so we had to watch the season finale of it. He chose Emily. My mom cried. End of story. Then, I took a bath (in the jacuzzi of course), and Amy and I took a walk on the beach to collect shells/enjoy the . We were walking while looking down at the ground, not thinking we would run into anyone. Thankfully, Amy noticed a couple making out before we walked right up to them. It would have been super awkward to walk by them, too, so we turned the other direction. Ha ha. I found a lot of nice shells and some coral/barnacles.
I soaked up a ton of sun today, lightly toasted, on the border of being burnt.
We still have 4 days left! :)
