I'm an Interior Design Technology major, and today I was required to go to the Student Design Show at the Indiana Design Center in Carmel. The Design Center is brand new, and beautiful. I got to walk around the to the different brands' stores and check out their products. My favorite was Ferguson. Their lighting fixtures are amazing and they have bath tubs to die for. They so big that even I (being 6'4") could fit in them comfortably. I can't wait to have enough money to get one of those bad boys. Ha ha.
Later on in the day, a renowned designer named Cheryl Durst made a presentation. She's from the IDAA in Chicago and part of the World's Future Society. She talked about all the ways design is changing the world and how the world is changing design. It was really fascinating and made me even more excited to graduate and get a real job. With the economy the way it is, I'm taking my time with school so hopefully by the time I graduate I'll be able to find a job. Anyways, it's time to get some homework done... Live. Love. Laugh. Blog.
