The sky was too cloudy to go to the beach today, so we decided to take a trip down to Miami. It worked out perfectly because I was too sunburnt to be in the sun anyway.
Traffic in Miami is horrible all the time apparently, even at noon on a Monday. It took two and a half hours to get to Miami, and it shouldn’t have taken more than 40 minutes. We drove around to do some sightseeing, and saw an Indiana University flag on the beach. I know some people that are coming down here for Spring Break from IU, so I’m wondering if it was anyone I know. Fat chance, but you never know who’ll you run into down here.

After lunch/dinner/linner/dunch/whatever-you-want-to-call-it, we walked around the mall. It’s huge! Amy’s favorite store was Sinora, of course. It was full of everything Hello Kitty. I’m talkin’ candy, purses, stuffed animals, cell phone cases, bathing suits, laptop covers, key chains, and even luggage. You name it, they had it. I could barely get Amy to leave. I didn’t, actually. I went to a store by myself and didn’t run into her again until later. I absolutely had to check out the Apple Store. It’s about 5 times larger than the one at home, and it was packed full of people. If I could have a shopping spree at any store in the Adventura Mall, it would be the Apple Store. You can keep your clothes. I want electronics. Ha ha.

Today may not have been full of sunshine the whole time, but it was still fun. The forecast for the rest of the week looks promising, though. It's weird -- when we got here, the Weather Channel said there was a 40 to 60% chance of it raining every day we’re going to be here, but now it says that there’s only a 10 or 20% chance. I guess the weather is unpredictable here. We’ll find out tomorrow!
