This morning, Mom and I woke up at 8:30 while Amy and Dad stayed in bed. We enjoyed the continental breakfast, and I read some magazines to pass the time before going to the beach. Thinking about it now, I guess I could have done some homework, but so much for that -- I’m on vacation.
Mom and I went down to the beach around 11, and it was a bright and sunny day. As usual, Amy and Dad came down later. I took my mask down to the water expecting to find some shells, but that didn’t happen. All I found in the water past the shore was seaweed and some rocks. It was still neat to see what it’s like underwater in the ocean, though.
My sunburn is completely gone now, so I lay in the sun for a while. I managed to not get sunburned today. ☺
We were on the beach for about 5 hours, then we went back to the hotel to get ready for a trip to the Sawgrass Mills Mall. I think that's the biggest mall I've ever been to besides the Mall of America. It was huge! It’s so big that they divided the mall into 5 sectors so people don’t get lost, and shopping carts are provided to haul bags around. We ate at Asian Chao for a quick dinner, then some gelato for dessert. Yum!
It was the typical beach day: wonderful in every way.
2 days left!
