Today was the perfect ending to a wonderful vacation.

Mom and I woke up at 9 and had breakfast together and we were on the beach by 11. Amy and Dad didn't come down until later because they were still sleeping, of course.

The weather was absolutely perfect. It was 79 degrees and sunny with a few clouds and a nice breeze.

I lay out in the sun for the most of the day, and walked the shore a couple times. The waves were much smaller than they have been in the past couple days.

The diving mask I bought a couple days ago came with a shell bag, so I decided to try something with it. I filled the bag with hands full of sand/shells from on the edge of the water, and then sifted the sand out of it. I found some tiny shells that were in perfect condition. I had never seen any like them because the only shells I've picked up were washed up on shore -- not in the water.

We went back to the hotel  after a great beach day around 5:30 to get ready for dinner, and then we went to Denny's -- cheap and yummy breakfast for dinner and it was Amy's treat!

We were going to go to the St. Patrick's Day block party down by the pier, but chose to pack up the car instead. That way we won't have to pack late tonight or super early tomorrow. We're all set to go. All we have to to is get up and go in the morning.

I'm sad that our vacation is over, but I'm happy we'll be back home in two days. We may or may not be coming back here next year. It depends on a couple things. Who knows -- maybe we'll end up going somewhere even better.
