Today, our fourth day in Florida, was the best one yet. Mom, Amy, and I woke up at 8 o’clock and had the continental breakfast (yum!). Then, we went for a walk on the beach toward the pier. We were expecting to find some pretty good shells on the shore since it was so early, but no such luck. We did find a Portugese Man of War, though. It looks like a funky, purple washed up balloon, but it can actually really hurt you if you touch it. We saw some last year and looked them up online. This whole time we thought a Man of War was jellyfish, but it's actually siphonophore, an animal made up of a colony of organisms working together. I bet you didn't know that, did you?

Amy went back to bed while Mom and I stayed awake after our little beach walk. I edited my iTunes library until about 10:30 because it was too cold to go down to the beach. I never realized how many songs I have on my computer that I don’t even remember downloading. I deleted over 1,800 songs! It’s no wonder my laptop is running out of memory.

Anyways, I went down to the beach at about 11 o’clock by myself and everyone else came down a little bit later. I stayed in the shade with my shirt on for a while because my sunburn was still pretty bad, but it looks like tomorrow will be a different story. The red has faded into a nice tan after. ☺
The waves were choppy again today, but it's fun to swim around jump through them. Amy and I went out into the water together, and she could barely keep herself above the waves where I could still touch on my tippy toes. It was fun, but at the same time, exhausting swimming around.

After a long day on the beach, we went down to the pier for dinner and ate at Anglin’s Beach Café. The food was just as great as I remember it. Their Beach Burgers and “award-winning” hummus are delicious. I love the surroundings. The restaurant is actually on the pier, so we were surrounded by the beach.
I went back to the hotel and walked along to beach to look for shells while the rest of the family went to Publix to pick up some bottled water among other things. Apparently they went to a bowling alley afterwards. Dad can’t go anywhere without checking out the local lanes.
Today wasn’t as busy of a day as yesterday, but that’s pretty much all we did.
